When your feet are sore, it seems like your entire body hurts. It is tough to even get up and walk around your home. When you visit water parks, be sure to take a pair of swim shoes with you. This is also a good idea if you will be swimming in the ocean.
Do not share shoes and socks with other people. You never know what foot infections they might be battling. These problems might not even affect them all that much, but if you are exposed, it can lead to a lot of pain and suffering. Treat footwear like you would underwear and toothbrushes. Nobody needs to share these things, so come prepared.
Finally, choose the right footwear. Your feet need to be able to breathe and wiggle in your shoes. Feet have a lot of sweat glands, which creates the perfect environment inside of shoes for bacteria to grow. Wearing absorbent socks and footwear that is properly ventilated will decrease your risk for bacteria growth. Also be sure to choose shoes that fit properly. When your feet are crammed into too-small shoes, it can create long-term foot problems, as well as short-term excruciating pain. Make sure shoes fit properly when you are wearing socks and when you are going without. There should be plenty of room for your toes and you should avoid pointed toe shoes because they can lead to ingrown toenails. If you monitor your foot health and see a podiatrist if you suspect a problem, your feet should stay healthy and pain-free.
